Last Saturday we decided to give Jackson some rice cereal. We were told to wait til six months to start solids, but hey, he's almost five months, so
that's pretty close, right? He ate the whole thing and wanted more. He still needs to get the hang of keeping the food in his mouth, but we can use the spoon to help him get the idea. He is getting better though. I feel this is just the beginning of the messes in the kitchen...
"Daddy buckling me in. This is going to be fun!"
"I can't read yet but, I'm pretty sure my bib says something concerning my good looks."

"All set! Now where's the food?"

"Yawn...this wait is b-o-r-i-n-g!"

"
Ohhhh, this looks good!"

"What the heck is this?"

"I'm starting to get the hang of this!"

"A little messy, but hey I'm learning."

"Look at me! I'm done!"

Sidenote: I am not happy to announce this but it needs to be included in the experience. Before we started my "new mom" definitely came out. We whipped out the video camera to capture this whole event and just as we started to tape our little man, we made a rookie mistake. We left the full bowl of cereal right infront of Jackson and caught on film is his hand tipping the food, spilling it everywhere. Nice.
